Last New Year's Day the BBC broadcast a documentary covering Stephen Fry's trip to Peru, ostensibly to trace the genealogical roots of Paddington Bear, and really to help save a real species; the severely endangered Spectacled bear. They followed up with a second programme at Easter, where they found a mate for the first bear, and this is a diary, written by Stephen Fry, of the two trips. Full colour pictures throughout. ALL AUTHOR PROCEEDS WILL GO TO BEAR RESCUE.
